How to add translations in Procedures?

Modified on Mon, 27 Jan at 4:45 PM

This guide will walk you through adding translations for procedure names, text fields, and sections in a procedure. If translations are not provided for a particular language, the system will display the base value in the EMR (Electronic Medical Records).

Adding Translations in Procedures

This guide explains how to add translations for:

  1. Procedure Name
  2. Text Fields
  3. Sections

In case no translation is provided, the base value will display in the EMR.

Adding a Translation for the Procedure Name

  1. Navigate to the procedure editor.
  2. In the General settings on the right panel, locate the Procedure Name field.
  3. Click the Translations (0) link beside the procedure name.
  4. A modal window will appear allowing you to input translations for different languages:
    • English
    • Bulgarian
    • Czech
    • German
    • Polish
  5. Enter the desired translations into the respective language fields.
  6. Click Save to confirm.
  7. If no translation is entered for a specific language, the system will display the base name in the EMR.

Adding a Translation for a Text Field

  1. Add or select a Text Field from the procedure form editor.
  2. In the Form Elements settings on the right panel, locate the Content area.
  3. Click the Translations (0) link below the text field’s content.
  4. A modal window will appear, allowing you to enter translations in different languages.
  5. Input the translated text for each language.
  6. Click Save to confirm the translations.
  7. If no translation is provided, the base text will be used in the EMR.

Adding a Translation for a Section

  1. Add or select a Section in the procedure form editor.
  2. In the Form Elements settings on the right panel, locate the Section Name field.
  3. Click the Translations (0) link below the section’s name.
  4. A modal window will appear for entering translations in multiple languages.
  5. Provide the translations for the section name in each language.
  6. Click Save to confirm.
  7. If no translation is added, the base section name will display in the EMR.

Key Notes:

  • Base Value Display: If translations are missing for a specific language, the system will automatically display the base value for that language in the EMR.
  • Consistency: Always review the translations for accuracy and consistency across languages.

This process ensures that procedures, text fields, and sections are appropriately localized for multilingual use in EMR systems.
