Standard library - dictionaries, fields, domains, creating templates

To add elements standard library you must be on organization level and have appropriate permissions.



After log in (if you have right permissions), on the main dashboard you will see stadard library tab - click this tab:



After clicking the standard library you will see form templates, fields, dictionaries and domains tab which you can create and add:


Important: creation of the template form you must always start by creating in particular steps:
1. Dictionaries
2. Fields
3. Domains
4. Form templates

Accordingly we will start from:

1. Dictionaries - to add dictionary you have to click dictionary tab and choose "+" icon on the right:


Then you will have possibility to create dictionary.

Dictionary details neccesary fields:

ID - it's field identyficator - please remember it is unique and noneditable, you can enter the abbreviation or the full name here, ID can be the same as the Name
Name - name of our dictionary
Values - the values of your dictionary, i.e. the options you can choose within each question
Translations - specify the translation of the value you will be leading in esource




After adding all of those information click "Save".

2. Fields - to add fields you have to click fields tab and choose "+" icon on the right:


Fields details neccesary information:

ID - it's field identyficator - please remember it is unique and noneditable, you can enter the abbreviation or the full name here, ID can be the same as the Name
Name - name of our fields
Translations - specify the translation of the field you will be leading in esource



Type - select what kind of type you would like to have:


Dictionary name - here you select dictionary you created before or if you didn't create, there is "+" icon to create and add now:


After filling out fields click "Save".

3. Domains - to add domain you have to click domain tab and choose "+" icon on the right:


After filling ID, name and optional decription you will have on the left domain fields and all fields on the right:


Drag the field from the right side and drop it to the left side. After adding all fields click "Save". Creating domains will make it easier to search for particular fields in the future when creating templates.

4. Form templates - to add new form template click "+" icon on the right, then you see template creator:



Important: The templates that you create you will be able to use in any sites in your organization, they are reusable.

At the firt step fill in section General all information including name and optional decription:

Next select section Form, click "Add" you will have list of domains with fields you have created



Select fields from domains list on the right side, they will appear on the left side of the wizard:



Important: When you go to the very bottom of the domains you will have Adverse Events and Concomitant Medication, these are dynamic table templates and buttons that you can attach to forms - they will allow you to add AEs or Concomitant Medications directly from within the visit form:



Each field you can edit, copy or delete. After clicking edit on the right side you have information about the dictionary, a drop-down list with options for a particular field, you have options to add a conditional field (i.e. field X must be filled in before you fill in field Y) and additionally you can set the width of the field:



Clicking "Preview" you will see how your template looks like:



Click "Save" to save changes.
