How to create a procedure and assign a dedicated form?

Modified on Wed, 10 Aug 2022 at 09:11 AM

In order to be able to visit patients at a later stage, it is necessary to define the procedures to be performed.

Some of the procedures are universal enough to be later used in many tests (e.g. vital signs or physical examination). Some of the protocols define the procedures to be performed in such detail that it will be necessary to create procedures dedicated to specific clinical trials.

1. Open: Management

Click on the gear symbol in the lower left corner of the screen.

2. Open: Procedures

You will find the button by scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Here you can add a new procedure form using the "Add procedure" button

Then, in the "Procedure settings" tab, you can:

  • give a name to the procedure
  • assign it to a specific clinical trial (the clinical trial must be added beforehand, see how to -> "Adding a test").
  • decide who of the staff will be authorized to enter further data from the visit in the form (e.g. a physical examination can only be assigned to the Investigator, thus this tab will not be editable for the nurse, etc.)

The form wizard is available in the "Procedure form" tab (after unlocking it with the slider).

Set who the form will be visible to - selecting the visibility type (e.g. the form may be visible only to the blind or unblinded team).

You can decide for yourself what the template of individual procedures will look like.

You have at your disposal, among other things, a note, a text field, but also the option of inserting one or multiple selections, inserting the option of marking the time or date. There are many possibilities.

By clicking an option on the right side of the wizard, that option will appear on the left side in "Form Preview".

By hovering over the options added to the "Form preview", the options for editing, copying or deleting them appear.

If you click on a given field - you can decide on the name, its size or whether the given field will always be required to be completed or it will be an optional field.

These fields can also be changed by dragging them to the target position.
